I had a monitor do that, I solved it by cutting a threading needle into a 3mmlength and putting it in the hole. It worked (although admitedly I was using low resolutions at the time, 1024 and below), I just had to be careful removing the cable from the computer, as the pin liked to fall out.

If the pin was actually a signal pin, you will have to replace the connector or cable assembly. Replacing a VGA connector (15-pin high density) is not an easy task whether you are using a solder pin or crimp pin design (Radio Shack usually carries solder-pin units - while there, get a metallized plastic DB-9 hood).

Sorry for the bad pictures. I used a quick cell phone camera (not a good idea). The pins that are broken are on the video card itself. Normally there is this wire-like thing that goes on top of it, but somehow that thing fell off when I was plugged in my video card or something, and broke the pin.
