DIY wiring harness for 5.3 swap | S-10 Forum
I have searched but couldn't find anything that helps very much. What I am baisically looking for is any helpful threads or wiring diagrams that shows what does what, and breaks down what each pin on the ECU does so I can weed out what I don't need from the stock 5.3 yukon harness, and build a standalone of some sort.

I wouldn't consider modifying a 4.3 harness for a 5.3 to make it run. I have never done it so i cant speak from experience. However looking at my 4.3 wiring harness and comparing it to the 5.3, your going to have to add coils wires, injector wires, (as the core thigns to add) O2's and im willing to bet a couple sensor plugs being changed.
