Wiring LEDs Correctly: Series & Parallel Circuits Explained
Whatever the reason, here is how to understand and configure a parallel LED circuit. Parallel Circuit: Where a series circuit receives the same current to each LED, a parallel circuit receives the same voltage to each LED and the total current to each LED is the total current output of the driver divided by the number of parallel LEDs.

LED_circuits - Ngineering
In a parallel circuit, the voltage is the same through all components (LEDs), but the current is divided through each. In a series circuit, the current is the same, but the voltage is divided. In a series circuit, the sum of all LED voltages should not exceed 90% of the supply voltage to ensure stable LED light output.
Electronics Club - LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) - choosing
LED = Light Emitting Diode. LEDs emit light when an electric current passes through them. The electrical behaviour of an LED is quite different from a lamp and it must be protected from passing excessive current, usually this is achieved by connecting a resistor in series with the LED.
