Evinrude E-TEC 115-hp | BoatTEST
Evinrude's E-TEC 115 has not only billed itself as a stand-alone powerhorse, but also as a likely upgrade to the venerable 90 E-TEC. In our opinion, this 115 E-TEC has enough power to handle hard running offshore, as well as vigorous watersports inshore. Key Features. No inspections or adjustments, no changing gearcase lube, no spring tune-ups.

Back to the same issues of hard starting, and hesitation in excelling and missing badly. Anyone else having any of these issues as well? Thinking about investigating the lemon law.
E-TEC Review - Part 1 | 10 year Review | Ocean Skiff
I suspect that the 115 and the 90 HO E-TECs, which are 4-cylinder engines, would be fine. The 90 HO was not offered until 2014, and was not an option when we repowered. The E-TEC 90 continues to be the lightest engine in its class, although some of the new 90 HP
